  On Tuesday, we'll have our final Spelling Club of the term and to celebrate we will introduce a new game. All are welcome to come along for some spelling fun!

All Students Distance Running - Auckland Secondary Schools Road Race CRS
  Any student wishing to compete at the Auckland Secondary Schools Road Race on Tuesday 13th August at Pulman Park in Papakura, please register at the below link:

Junior Girls 3km
Junior Boys 4km
Intermediate and Senior Girls 4km
Senior Boys 6km

If you sign up, you must be capable of running the distance and you are expected to take part in the event.

All Students Rugby League - Nationals Meeting CRS
  There will be a meeting for all 1st XIII players and any other student who is interested in being considered for the National Secondary Schools Tournament in September on Monday after school in the Wharenui starting at 3:30pm. Please be prompt.

 		  
Juniors only Aotearoa National Spelling Bee BRW
  Y9 and 10 - 2024 Aotearoa National Spelling Bee Competition - sponsored by the Wright Family Foundation
A great opportunity to take part in a free spelling competition held nationwide amongst Y9 and 10 schools. The top 22 finalists win a travel and accommodation package for themselves and their parents/caregiver to compete in the 2024 Aotearoa New Zealand Spelling Bee Final in Wellington (1-2 November). The 2024 Spelling Bee Champion will win the Spelling Bee Trophy and $5000.
Please indicate if you are interested in taking part so I can give you access to the Spelling Bee word list of 100 words to practice. There is a test held at school 29 July - 2 August. If interested please email asap jane.ainley@mags.school.nz

 		  
Juniors only Fred Free Read Aloud Competition PEH
  Are you interested in participating in a competition of elocution and oratory? The English Department will be holding the Fred Free Read Aloud Competition in Term 3. Students will have the chance to compete against each other in the reading aloud of specific texts. No prior experience needed. First place will receive a prize.
