All Students Musical Theatre Group Sign-ups PA3 Thu 9 May 3:30-5pm HGH
  MAGS Musical Theatre Group is starting up for 2024! This group is open to any students who are keen and willing to strengthen their skills in dance, singing and acting. We meet every Thursday after school to learn musical items. At the end of the term, we will have a musical theatre showcase. You'll need to come along to the auditions to join the group, so come along next Thursday to PA3 from 3:30-5pm.

  Can all U15 girls playing rugby this year please come to the rugby office at interval or lunch to be weighed in. If you do not get weighed in today you will not be able to take the field this season.

All Students Robotics DLY
  Curious about robotics? Keen to learn how to design or program for robots? Regular sessions held held after school Mondays and Thursdays till 5pm in T4, starting Thursday Term 2 Week 1. We will build robots to enter into VEX competitions. No prior experience required, anyone is welcome to join.

All Students The Leaders of Tomorrow PEH
  Registrations for The Leaders of Tomorrow, youth civic engagement forum is open! Occurring on Monday the 13th of May, learn how you can have your voice heard in the local community and how you can develop your skills as a leader. The local Minister of Mount Albert, Helen White, will be our guest speaker and speak to her journey as a leader and answer any questions.

The event will be occurring in the Gibbs Staff Room from 2:15pm with light refreshments provided. If you are looking to be a future leader at MAGS next year, or want to learn how you can engage in the community, be sure to register by next week Thursday (9th) at 12pm.

All Students Writers Festival PEH
  MAGS will be attending the Auckland Writers Festival on Thursday the 16th of May this year.

If you are interested in coming along with us to listen to awesome authors, Steph Matuku, Airana Ngarewa, Elizabeth Acevedo and Natalie Haynes, and finding out more about their writing process and what inspires them, please pick up a permission slip from the English Department (upstairs in E block opposite E15).

 
 
All Students Writers Workshop GCA
  Calling all aspiring writers! Renowned NZ author Kate De Goldi is visiting us next MONDAY the 6th May to run a writers workshop. The author of the 10pm Question and Eddy Eddy, among others, Kate's writing is taught across schools in NZ and abroad.
The 2 hour workshop is strictly limited to 20 participants and is run at a cost of $10 each. If you want to hone your writing under the watchful eye of this amazing author, grab a permission slip from the English Dept (opposite E15 upstairs in E block) and see finance ASAP.

  All senior students who are confident in their year 11 math knowledge are wanted to come help at the Wednesday period 5 math clinic and tutor any students who are seeking a bit of help.
