| MAGS Boys Lacrosse are looking for new or experienced players of all levels to represent MAGS. Beginners are welcome and there is some gear available. Former MAGS lacrosse captain, Sam Nash, has just returned from playing 2 seasons of lacrosse in USA, and will be running MAGS boys lacrosse training / teaching sessions after school every Friday from 3.30pm - 5pm on the lower fields. Brings boots and a drink. The aim is to take a build a MAGS boys lacrosse team to be able to compete in the NZ Secondary Schools Lacrosse Tournament in 2025. there may also be opportunities for games against Rosmini and Westlake. | Want to learn a new sport? Meet Dragon Boat, a fun-filled water sport that we will be introducing to MAGS! If you are interested in learning more about the sport, we have an information session coming up on Thursday, 8th Augsut 2024 at lunchtime in MH8. So if you are between Year 9 to Year 12 this year, come along and check it out! |

| Did you know NZ Scholarship winners can receive monetary awards? From $500 for a single subject to $10,000 per year, for three years, for premier award winners. Even if you have not been attending English Scholars Club, you are welcome to sign up for the exam and simply give it a go. You can sign up by joining our google classroom using the code: lmvo5e5 Simply complete the google form. Signing up is not a commitment but it does give you the option :) |

| Interact are running a can drive to collect non perishable canned food for the Auckland City Mission between week 3-week 5. Bring any spare cans you have at home (spaghetti, baked beans, tinned fruit, veggies or soup etc) and store in your mentor class. Interact members will collect them at the end of week 5. 1 in 5 New Zealanders experience food insecurity and the Auckland City Mission works to change this through donations of food parcels to those in need. This is your chance to help support their mahi. |

| Are you interested in participating in a competition of elocution and oratory? The English Department will be holding the Fred Free Read Aloud Competition in Term 3. Students will have the chance to compete against each other in the reading aloud of specific texts. No prior experience needed. First place will receive a prize.
