| Tech leaders help students and staff with printing, using devices and maintaining ICT resources. The first tech leaders' meeting of Term 1 will be in the library green room this week at interval on Thursday 29 February. New students are encouraged to apply to be on the team. If you wish to be part of the team, please come to the meeting. The duty requirement will be one 20 minute lunchtime duty in the library helping stiudents with printing and 6 after school duties over Terms 1-3, helping ICT staff after school 3.15pm-4.00pm (can be all in one term, or twice a term, etc.) We will work out the best day for the after-school sessions at the first meeting. |

| Here is an exciting opportunity for those passionate about speech & race relations, The Race Unity Speech Awards are a platform for senior high school students from years 11 to 13 to express their ideas on how we can improve race relations in Aotearoa. The Speech Awards give eloquent and thoughtful young people a chance to speak their minds and give the rest of New Zealand a chance to listen to the leaders of tomorrow. The Speech Awards are held in support of Race Relations Day. This year's theme is about the role of unity and now can come together as a community to foster the ideals of strength and unity as one while providing solutions to face the challenges New Zealand is experiencing with race relations. Our first meeting is Friday (1st of March) lunchtime at N16, the Speech & Debating Prefects will be taking the session to explain all the details and get you writing! |
