The Chinese Cultural Group is looking for new students to join our group this year!
No experience required! It will be an excellent opportunity to get involved in the arts/cultural pillar of the school. We welcome people of all nationalities!
Come to the meeting in L04 (Chinese classroom next to the library) at lunchtime on Thursday this week (15th of Feb, week 3) to find out more!

  There is still time to find 3 friends and enter the EPro8 challenge. This is a fun competition between school teams to build cool innovations like an electric vehicle with specific sensors in the shortest time, using the specifications and parts provided. Make a team of 4 people, who you know will work well together, before you come to a meeting in CS07, lunchtime Wednesday, to find out more.

All Students Mountain Biking JHN
  We have the Auckland Schools Mountain Biking cross country race series starting on Sunday 3rd March at Riverhead, the full list of events and venues are on the MAGS grandstand.

Also entries are open for the North Island MTB Championships in Rotorua - 17th - 19th March - XCO / Enduro and DH.

  2024 Netball Trials are starting and we want YOU to be part of the action!

We are looking for umpires from all years and our greater MAGS community (think parents, siblings, aunties, uncles, cousins....) to join our umpiring team. Whether you are just starting out or have your centre badge, we want you!

  Volleyball is opening in the Upper gym at lunchtimes. Normal gym rules apply. Come and have a hit around with other Volleyball enthusiasts.
Monday - Boys social. Tuesday - Girls social. Wednesday - Juniors only. Thursday - Mixed social.

 		  
Seniors only Medicine and Health Sciences KGN
  Kia ora koutou, do you whakapapa Māori and are interested in entry to medicine and health sciences’? The University of Auckland will be at MAGS to present to rangatahi about their Whakapike Ake programme.

If you are interested in health as a career, whakapapa Māori, are Year 12 or 13 and take two Applied Sciences, (Biology, Chemistry, Physics), and Maths then please attend. Contact Mr Kerrigan (Māori Initiatives Teacher) to secure a place.

Seniors only Senior Netball Trials and Interest for Playing Club Netball for MAGS LAI
  Registrations are open to trial to play in senior netball teams.

We are also asking for expressions of interest to represent MAGS Auckland Netball and Netball Waitakere playing in their club league on Saturday from 1:30pm. Auckland Netball have an U16 & U18 leagues. Playing club will incur additional charges.

Trial Dates are: Thursday 29 February at 6.30-8am in Gym 1 & Friday 23 February from 3:30pm on the lower courts. Friday March 1 is TBC

You will need to be available to train after school on Wednesdays (1:30pm) and games every Saturday during the season (4 May - 31 August - not in school holidays)
